Our story · Since 2009

From school-band friends to Malaysia's pipe band.

KLPD began in 2009, when friends who had played together in a school band decided to form a band of their own.

With five bagpipers and three drummers, the band entered its first competition — the Malaysia World Band Championship — and won first place.

Today KLPD has more than 40 registered members from schools, states and backgrounds across Malaysia, performing in full Scottish regalia and playing Scottish, Malaysian, Chinese and Indian music.
