What is a marching band?

Every section of KLPD together — pipes, drums and brass — plus auxiliary performers who add movement and visual flair.

FAQ

Marching band questions

How much space does a marching display need?

Enough room for the band to move comfortably — it depends on how many performers you book. Tell us your venue and we'll suggest the right line-up for the space.

Can students or staff march with the band?

Yes. They can march in front of the band, behind it, or blend in with us.

What happens if it rains?

If it's light rain, we can keep playing. If the organiser pauses or stops the event, we follow their lead.

How far ahead should we book a marching band?

We can take any date as long as we have players available — so the earlier you book, the better.
